What makes a good email signature?
Keep it short: name, role, company, one phone number and a website is usually enough. Use one accent colour that matches your brand, a small logo or photo (80–120 px), and no more than three or four social links. Avoid putting the whole signature in a single image: many email apps block images by default, and text stays clickable and searchable.
Frequently asked questions
How do I add an HTML signature to Gmail?
Click Copy signature, open Gmail → Settings (gear) → See all settings → General → Signature → Create new, paste with Ctrl+V (Cmd+V on Mac), then click Save Changes at the bottom of the page. Paste the copied signature, not the HTML code: Gmail's signature box does not accept raw HTML.
Why does my logo not show in Gmail?
Gmail removes images that are embedded inside the signature (base64 data). Upload your logo somewhere public (your website, Google Sites or a CDN) and paste its https:// link in the Logo or photo URL field. Hosted images work in Gmail, Outlook and Apple Mail.
What is the difference between Copy signature and Copy HTML code?
Copy signature puts the formatted signature on your clipboard so you can paste it straight into Gmail, Outlook or Apple Mail. Copy HTML code copies the raw HTML source, which you need for tools that ask for HTML, such as Thunderbird, HubSpot or email marketing platforms.
How do I add the signature in Outlook?
In new Outlook and Outlook on the web go to Settings → Accounts → Signatures, click + New signature, paste and save. In classic Outlook for Windows go to File → Options → Mail → Signatures → New, paste into the editor and set it as the default for new messages and replies.
Is this email signature generator really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no limit. Everything runs in your browser and your details are never uploaded.
What size should a signature logo be?
Around 80–120 px wide and under 50 KB works well. This generator displays the image at a fixed width so it stays sharp and small in every email client.
Will the signature look the same in every email app?
The signature uses table-based HTML with inline styles, which is the most compatible format for email. Small differences in fonts and spacing between apps are normal, and Outlook may swap web fonts for Arial.
