MX records

Honest note: This page asks our server to query public DNS / RDAP for the value you enter. We do not need file uploads. Do not use this to probe systems you are not authorized to check.
See where a domain’s mail is routed
MX records list mail servers and their preference (priority). Lower numbers are tried first. This dedicated view sorts them clearly — handy when checking Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or custom MTAs.
Frequently asked questions
Is this private like the PDF tools?
No. DNS lookups go through our server-side resolver.
What does preference mean?
Lower preference = higher priority. Mail systems try the lowest number first, then fall back.
No MX found — is that broken?
Not always. Some hosts still accept mail at the domain’s A/AAAA. Most modern setups publish MX.
Can I check mail ports too?
Yes — use Mail Port Check for 25/465/587/993/995 on hosts you administer.
